Other Information | Vessel was bound from Stockton Springs (ME) to New York when she grounded. After running on the ledge, wreckers stripped her of everything salvageable and she was given up for lost. Several months later, a salvage company refloated the vessel and towed her to Boston where she was refitted and put back in service. Four years later the Carolyn became a total loss when she ran aground on the Kola Peninsula in Russia. |
